An alert Torula News reader and Cognac fan in Hong Kong send us this picture (click here). It was published in Asia/Pacific section of the International Herald Tribune with the following caption: "Taste Test - A wine from the Bordeaux region of France, right, being compared with a forgery at a display of counterfeit goods Tuesday in Hanoi. Vietnam's market for forged goods has been growing at an alarming rate." Among items on the display were Hennessy XO and Rémy Martin products. Another alert Cognac fan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia send us an inquiry about huge price and quality discrepancy in 2 duty free outlets in Kuala Lumpur for the same product from one of the Cognac Big Four (Hennessy, Martell, Rémy Martin, Courvoisier). We have forwarded his inquiry to the producer some 6 weeks ago. He has had no reply, to date.
